Dennis Rodman: I’m Not As Rich as She Thinks

dennis rodmanDennis Rodman wants the world to know he never fell behind on child support payments … that is, the ones he could afford to pay.

Rodman’s rep tells TMZ the former NBA star’s estranged wife Michelle convinced a judge behind his back to jack up his child support … and now he’s in over his head.

Rodman claims he has been faithfully paying upwards of $10,000 a month since the beginning — but the court hiked it to $50,000 a month and now he can’t afford it.

According to the rep, the former NBA star doesn’t earn anywhere near what his wife thinks — nearly $4.5 million a month (not a mistake — a month) — so this whole $300,000 unpaid child support problem

90 Girls Pregnant at Memphis Middle/High School

What in the world is going on at Frayser Middle/High School in Memphis, Tenn.? More girls are carrying babies than backpacks!

There are a reported 90 teens who are pregnant now or who have had a baby this school year. Eleven percent of the school’s female population is already in the throes of parenthood.

Now an all-out campaign is being launched to deter teen pregnancy at the school.

Teen pregnancy is a big problem in Memphis and Shelby County, where the population is predominantly black and poor.

Sixteen-year-old Terrika Sutton (pictured above) is one of the Frayser students who became pregnant. Sutton, who has a 2-month-old daughter, says she was in her fifth month when she found out she was expecting a child. The teen mom surprised her parents and classmates alike when she broke the news to them about her situation:

“They were like, ‘Terrika, I never knew you would get pregnant,’ and I was like well it happened.”

The young mother goes onto say, though, that teen pregnancy is nothing to be proud of and that something should be done:

“It’s a shame that all these girls at Frayser are pregnant, but it ain’t nothing new. They probably planned on what they gonna do to get pregnant. Ain’t no telling. They need a class where they can teach girls before they get pregnant to use protection and stuff and so they don’t try to get pregnant.”

Until now, there has been very little data collected on the number of pregnant students.

Last year, more than 2,100 girls ages 10 to 19 gave birth in Shelby County. Researchers say Shelby County’s teen pregnancy rate is 25 percent higher than New Orleans and twice that of Louisville, Ky. Frayser, though, has the highest teen-pregnancy rate in all of Memphis.

A Title 1 school, Frayser receives federal dollars based on the number of students from low-income families who qualify for free or reduced lunch. Nearly 100 percent of the students who attend the school qualify.
Educators and researchers have come up with a new campaign that has been designed to help teens prevent pregnancy called “No Baby!”

Memphis City School officials will set the initiative in motion on Jan. 20. The campaign will be run by Girls Inc., an organization that’s been helping girls in Memphis improve their self-esteem for the past several decades.
The “No Baby!” all-out massive effort to stomp out teen pregnancy will hopefully get the message across to teens to say no to having sex and having babies. “No Baby!” will only encourage abstinence and not provide contraceptives but will give teens the proper tools on how to protect themselves should they decide to engage in sexual relations.

The war against teenage pregnancy is also being infused with $250,000 in advertising that will saturate all forms of social media forums such as Twitter and Facebook, as well as using other mediums, such as texts, radio, billboards and television.
The advertising campaign’s rollout will begin with Frayser, but it will expand to include other schools in Memphis where the teen pregnancy problem is rampant. In 10 Memphis zip codes, at least 20 percent of teens have a baby, which is more than double the national average.
Teen pregnancy is a serious issue that demands our attention.

Teen parents are almost always unprepared for the challenges of parenthood and often drop out of school, take low-paying jobs and never complete their education. Children born to teen moms are often sicker, poorer and less educated as a group.

The scariest part of all is that they are also the group most likely to become teen parents and repeat the cycle. I don’t profess to come up with any one solution to this growing problem, but I believe that morals, contraception, abstinence and keeping idle minds busy with activities after school might be a darn good start.

Sources within COGIC state that Dickerson L.S. Wells pastor of Bethel COGIC here in Memphis who also serves as a trustee of the national organization was asked to resign his position of superintendent By Presiding Bishop Charles Blake after it was found that Wells had diverted church funds for his personal use.

As Superintendent here in Memphis Wells was the highest ranking official of the national church having control of church funds and properties. Its said that Wells diverted a $20,000 check belonging to COGIC for his own personal use.

Sources state that Bishop Blake flew into Memphis several weeks ago and ask the stealing preacher to step down. There are those within COGIC who will seek to have Wells removed as a national trustee,But since he was elected by the General Assembly only that body I understand can remove him.

Greed is helping more Churches in Foreclosure

The Pastors of several churches around Memphis has pulled their churches into foreclosures. So my first question is how did this happen?

The Pastors response is that “God told them to do it”. Naturally when God tells you to do something he only has the best thought for you in mind, right? Would God give you something to day only to take it away from you tomorrow?

Maybe it was not God that you were talking to, it could have been another powerful God “called Greed”? You see when these pastor makes thousands of dollars a month with a few hundred members they feel that with thousands of members that they could make 10s of thousands of dollars a month.

Unfortunately this is starting to become a common site around Memphis where churches are bellying up from strapped debts acquired from building a new church. The Pastors visions of grander are just that and now they are having to back track and move back to their original church home. Nothing is more demoralizing to have something taking from you because you did not think things through. I wonder how does the Pastor keep a straight face with the church members after they realize he may have stretched the truth?

Okay their is a moral to this story, “Pastors I think that you have to rationalize who is talking to you”, because if God talked to you, do you really think you would be on the news explaining why you failed?

“Just Busted” making some people angry!

These people that operate this website are making money off of the misfortunes of others. Taking advantage of people in a suffering state is about as immoral as can be. I like several others below have been falsely accused by my ex-wife and arrested on charges that were later dropped. My name was printed in a website however, not this one…an actual website that prints news not just trash. They didn’t print anything saying the charges were dropped on me. Nor do they print that for anyone else. How is it fair to print people that are charged, but no print their convictions or overturning. Aside from the fact that this infringes on a citizens rights. So after I read the comment I decided to responded to the comment. Unfortunately for the 20 people that was arrested that day, sorry! Just so you know anyone and everyone is Innocent until proven guilty… Let me put a little clarity to this irate individual who does not like people being displayed on Just Busted or any other publication that shows who was arrested! Because they were arrested, many a people want to see who got in trouble! How many times have you rode by and saw a cop with someone pulled over and you slowed down to see who it was in the handcuff? Here is a piece of information that you may not have know, but once you are arrested the initial arrest will always be displayed on your record unless you get the item expunged from your record! Even if you are found not guilty it still shows on your record! For you individual who get speeding tickets but go to traffic school so that the ticket does not effect your insurance. Any cops who pulls you over can see any tickets that you may have received, even if they were dismissed. Unfortuately it is what it is, and that’s that.
